Iranian Army Commemorates Brigadier General Sayyad Shirazi

TEHRAN -- The Islamic Republic of Iran Army commemorated the fourth martyrdom anniversary of Brigadier General Ali Sayyad Shirazi who was assassinated by the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO).

In a statement issued by the army, the martyred brigadier general was praised for his unique bravery, perseverance, and devotion to the Islamic system.

"The characteristics of Ali Sayyad Shirazi are excellent patterns for the military. His active presence and valor in the warfronts during the eight-year Iraq imposed war (1980-1988) is lauded by all Iranians forever," the statement added.

The people and personnel of the army are invited to take part in the commemoration ceremony on Thursday, marking the commander's martyrdom anniversary.
